A worked way to think about it
Clarifying a service-page title may better match a query. Keep the page, query, property and audience scope identical when reviewing CTR. A concurrent ranking change still complicates interpretation.
Before acting on the result
- Preserve the original and actual change date.
- Use one primary outcome and comparable counts.
- Review controls and concurrent changes.
- Pause interpretation when measurement changes.
Can this declare a winning variation?
No. A higher before/after rate alone cannot establish the cause. Use the brief to collect the evidence needed for a responsible review.
Method and primary guidance
This is an educational planning aid. Its logic is deterministic and bounded; it has no access to your website or Google account. Review the dated source evidence when making a real decision.
