A worked way to think about it
A page with 40 clicks from 1,000 impressions has an observed rate of 4%. If the next window contains a new set of queries, a higher rate cannot be assigned to a title edit from these counts alone.
Before acting on the result
- Use completed, equal reporting windows.
- Keep the property, search type, country and device identical.
- Exclude operator searches and document coverage limits.
- Record the actual change date and any concurrent changes.
Does a separated interval prove the edit worked?
No. Dependencies, seasonality, selection and repeated analysis can still explain movement. The tool leaves causal lift unset.
Method and primary guidance
This is an educational planning aid. Its logic is deterministic and bounded; it has no access to your website or Google account. Review the dated source evidence when making a real decision.
